Home Renovation Photography in Knoxfield

Goal of the shoot

Cam wanted a gallery of polished photos and video clips that could be used across his website and social media.

The renovation had a lot of beautiful details that deserved to be highlighted, including:

  • custom cabinetry throughout the home
  • a custom internal wardrobe
  • a butler’s pantry
  • a laundry with thoughtful storage features
  • finishes and styling that showed the overall quality of the build

The goal was not just to show that the renovation was finished. It was to create content that helped future clients understand the standard of work CamScott Developments can deliver.

Photographing Small Spaces

One of the biggest challenges in this project was the laundry and butler’s pantry.

They are both smaller rooms, and spaces like that are often difficult to photograph well on a phone. You end up with images that feel cramped, dark or distorted, even when the room itself looks great in person.

Using a wide lens made it possible to capture more of each room without making the space feel realistic. Careful framing and editing also helped keep the lines straight and the proportions natural, while still showing the cabinetry, storage and layout properly.

These are often the kinds of spaces that matter most to clients when they are planning a renovation. People want to know where the storage is, how much bench space there is, whether the room feels functional, and what details they could include in their own home.

Highlighting the details

The internal wardrobe was designed to feel clean, functional and built around the way the client would actually use the space. The custom cabinetry throughout the home also added a lot of visual interest and showed the level of detail that went into the renovation.

These are often the details that help a builder stand out from competitors.

A future client might not know the technical side of a renovation, but they do notice things like storage, finishes, cabinetry, layouts and how a space feels to live in.

That is why it is important to capture more than just wide room shots. The smaller details are often what help people connect with a project.

How These Photos Will Be Used

One of the most important parts of project photography is making sure the images are useful beyond just one Instagram post.

For CamScott Developments, these photos and videos can now be used across:

  • website project pages
  • social media posts and reels
  • service pages
  • Google Business Profile
  • quote documents
  • brochures and capability statements
  • before and after content
  • portfolio galleries

They also give future clients inspiration for their own renovation, especially when it comes to details like laundries, wardrobes, cabinetry and butler’s pantries.
